Residential real estate prices rose in the second quarter of 2020, despite the pandemic.
On September 25, the Central Bank of the Philippines released the Residential Real Estate Price Index poll (RREPI) of the second half of 2020. Residential real estate prices across the Philippines from April to June 2020 rose 27.1% year-on-year. It is also the highest rate of increase of 10.7% since the survey started in the January-March period of 2016.
By region, housing prices also recorded higher in areas other than Metro Manila, with prices for all types of housing units in Metro Manila increasing year-on-year, with the exception for duplexes.
Condominium prices rose 30.1% year-on-year, single-family homes rose 24.1%, townhouses rose 10.8%, and for duplexes rose 0.8%.
