This is an advisory for new SRRV applicants located overseas published by the PRA on October 29.

Foreigners without a valid visa will need a 9A visa and EED (Special Entry Permit) to enter the Philippines and apply for SRRV. However, EED will be granted only after passing the pre-screening procedures for SRRV.

The overall process would be as follows.

Remittance of acquisition fee, acquisition of clearance certificate, medical certificate → submission of each document for SRRV application, submission of request letter for EED endorsement, pre-screening → passed the pre-screening → PRA will request an EED for the applicant from DFA → EED approval → applying for 9A visa → enter the Philippines and complete the procedures for obtaining SRRV.
