On 9th, the Japanese government announced that it would exempt people entering the country from the Philippines from the three-day facility-based quarantine, which was required as part of waterfront measures against the new coronavirus. The exemption, which was previously available only to vaccinated individuals, will be extended to include unvaccinated individuals. However, home quarantine is required until the 14th day after entering Japan.
