Facility Based Quarantine to Enter Japan is Shortened to 3 Days
The Japanese government announced on the 5th that they will shorten the length of facility based quarantine, which is required when entering the country from the Philippines, to 3 days. It will be applied from the 8th. Currently, faculty based quarantine is set to be 6 days. Passengers will have to be tested for the new coronavirus when they arrive at the airport and on the third day after entering the country. After leaving the quarantine facility, they will be required to stay at home for 14 days after entering Japan. Only the Philippines is included among Southeast Asia countries that require facility based quarantine due to risks for mutant strains.
