Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) has announced that it has signed a cooperative agreement with the Philippine Department of Public Works and Highways on the construction, operation and maintenance of tunnels. The agreement will strengthen bilateral cooperation by providing Japanese tunnel management technology and know-how. The agreement was signed by Minister of State for Public Works and Roads Tetsuo Saito and Minister of Public Works and Roads Mercado on 24th.
