Megaworld Develops Environmental Resort
Megaworld, a major real estate developer in the Philippines, announced on the 20th that they will develop an environmental tourist resort in San Vicente, Palawan, in the west. They will invest 40 billion pesos (about 87.5 billion yen) in the next 10 to 15 years.
An ecotourism resort “Paragua Course Town” will be developed on 462 hectares of land along the coast near San Vicente Airport. The project will be focusing on protecting San Vicente’s biodiversity to make it a sustainable tourist destination. The resort will have hotel areas, cultural and educational facilities, health facilities, shopping areas, residential areas such as villas and apartments, and mangrove sanctuaries. First, they will start the development of 83 hectares of Kemdeng Beach.
